How to Create an App-Based Equipping Event

The THI website does not collect payments for event registrations. If you need to collect payments or gather specific registration details, consider using a platform like EventBrite. You can link your EventBrite registration on the event page.

From your THI facilitator account click "my events" on the left hand menu.

Click "add event."

Under "choose event type" select "equipping."

Under "choose equipping level" select "app."

Complete the necessary fields; fields with a red asterisk are required.

For app-based materials click "Adult - Anchored in Hope."

The materials dropdown will not be available until the main facilitator has been selected. Materials are available depending on the facilitator certification; If a facilitator is attempting to lead a group they are not certified in, they will not be able to complete the event creation. This includes App-based materials.

Click "create event."

Congrats on creating your app-based initial equipping event! Take a moment to review your event. Ask a friend to review it with you. Do the event details provide all the information an attendee might need to know in order to sign up?

Under "my events" and the event details page, you will see a QR code. This QR code is not visible to others and is specific to your equipping event. This QR code can be used to link participants to this training session in the THI database.

Steps for how to use the QR code in the group are included on the event details page.

You can download the QR code, or open in a new tab by clicking "download" or "open in a new tab."

You cannot report on your App-based Equipping unless participants scan the QR code.

If you need to edit the event details or delete the event, you can do so by clicking, "edit" or "delete."
